The Thales Scottish Technology Prize for laser technology and applications

A formal prize giving ceremony will be held at our offices in Glasgow on Thursday the 11th of December.

  • First place - £40,000 to support the winner’s current research plus personal cash prize of £2,500.
  • Second place - £1,500 personal cash prize.
  • Third place - £1,000 personal cash prize.
  • Best undergraduate entry - £1,000 personal cash prize.
  • Further finalist prizes - £500 personal cash prize.
